How to submit schedules, proof of payment receipts for tuition, books, supplies, or fees and official transcript.
I. Scholarships are awarded two times a year, the Fall Semester and Spring Semester.
II. Monies are to be used for tuition, books and fees.
III. Funds will be distributed via U.S. mail beginning August 30th through September 30th for the Fall term and January 30th through February 28th for the Spring term.
IV. Required documents may be mailed to Progress Village Foundation, 7935 Flower Ave. Tampa, FL 33619 or emailed to progressvillagefndscholars@gmail.com.
V. Four-year Colleges and University – recipients may receive $1,000.00 per semester based on the following guidelines:
Fall Semester
a. Students must be enrolled full time and provide proof of registration (final schedule as of drop/add date) of 12 or more credit hours.
b. Students must provide a receipt (copy) of monies spent of at least $100.00. The receipt must have the school’s name imprinted on it. The receipt can be from the school’s bookstore, registrar’s office, a financial aid reimbursement or payment invoice, etc… The receipt must be for the current semester the student will be receiving funds for.
c. Returning students must provide an official copy (Transcript) of Spring Semester grades (will accept temporary copy until official transcript received).
Spring Semester
d. To receive monies for Spring semester students must have received funds for the Fall Semester.
e. Students must be enrolled full time and provide proof of Spring Semester registration (final schedule as of drop/add date) of 12 or more credit hours.
f. Students must provide a receipt (copy) of monies spent of at least $100.00. The receipt must have the school’s name imprinted on it. The receipt can be from the school’s bookstore, registrar’s office, a financial aid reimbursement or payment invoice, etc… The receipt must be for the current semester the student will be receiving funds for.
g. Fall semester grades – Unofficial copy (Transcript) from your school showing grades and hours completed for Fall semester.
h. If a student drops a class and finishes with less than full time hours for Fall Semester the funds distributed for the Spring Semester will be reduced by a percentage of hours dropped (ex. 12 hours enrolled, dropped 3 hours scholarship funds will be reduced approximately 33% or 333.00 leaving scholarship for Spring would only be $666.
VI. Community College and Trade School – recipients may receive $700.00 per semester based on the following guidelines:
Fall Semester
a. Students must be enrolled full time and provide proof of registration (final schedule as of drop/add date) of 12 or more credit hours.
b. Students must provide a receipt (copy) of monies spent of at least $100.00. The receipt must have the school’s name imprinted on it. The receipt can be from the school’s bookstore, registrar’s office, a financial aid reimbursement or payment invoice, etc… The receipt must be for the current semester the student will be receiving funds for.
c. Returning students must provide an official copy (Transcript) of Spring Semester grades (will accept temporary copy until official received).
Spring Semester
